Irish Reform in the wake of the bank bailout.

Please Find herein a blog designed to provide a public forum for people who have any Ideas on how the irish Social, economic and political system can be reformed. Obviously in the wake of the last few days events there is a significant need for reform in this island.

This blog is designed to provide a place for proactive viewpoints which place forward positive instititutional or other reforms of the Irish system. The vast amount of the rhetoric which has dominated these discussions thus far in most political forums seems to consist of random and unconstructive bitching which is totally unproductive and useless.
Try where possible to provide citations and example for your views, especially by using examples from other countries and try to base them on some educated reality if nothing else. This blog is by all means a very Crude one, and If anyone wishes to upgrade it or set up their own one on a similar topic, by all means you are invited to do so - this is just a first step towards proactive solutions.

If you have a view which you feel needs to be heard, If you have an idea that you think has not been considered, please put it forward, irrespective of party, class, religion, social background, etc, etc. Just let your voice be heard, so that vital ideas which could be used practically in this situation are not lost forever to the mists of time, Thanks.
This post would call attention to these issues:

Banking reform.

Political reform. Are Fianna fail and fianna Gael necessary 80 years after their creation? Does anyone have views on the number of backbenchers, TDS, etc.

How to Reform the public services?

How to reform the inequalities of wealth in Ireland.

How to reform the taxation system.

Have the unions too much power, and if so, how can that be changed? If not, how can this be changed.

Fraud laws.

Should we be paying people to be on the dole, or should the dole system be changed?

The Health services.

Cultural reform: is our culture perhaps too materialistic, or is this simply ridiculous?

The Role of the EU.

Wages in irish society and the minimal wage.

How to go about making these reforms: Working inside the existing parties, setting up new ones, etc, etc.

Finally, do any of these issues need reform at all?

Needless to state, any  personally insulting comments directed at any bloggers will be deleted. 24/11/2010.
